And being that we are both missing all of you alot at the moment, it was so wonderful to see a familiar face....or faces. As kia was along on the road trip too.
The guys met me in Rundle street Friday night after work.Being that we were so close to the Astral...we thought ,"..Don't mind if we do."
These guys are a 4 piece jazz outfit. They are regulars here and are fantastic. The beers where cold and the champas well earnt, but we only had a short time to get to china town and eat before it closed.
I had to focus.
You see,Rundy was a liability.
He had sustained a serious knee injury trying to protect some knuckle head from being beaten to a pulp.
Thats Rundy.Seriously the nicest guy you'll ever meet.
Doesn't matter now though. We had short space of time. And I had a plan
TAXI!
Out at the side entrance and in via the Central markets. This is such a cool place to take visitors and the boys were way to relaxed.Time to move.Duck and weave.
I'll meet you there and grab a table...Down through the fish market, out passed the yoghurt stand, round by the coffee stand, passsed the flowers, cheese monger and into the kitchy shopping part of china town.
Past the pork buns, the sheepskins and We love Adelaide tshirts and out into the China town Mall.
Four doors down and into the China town cafe.
As usual ,its packed.
We made it.......with an hour to spare..my timing was totally out.
Anyways..
Nice to meet you.
The usual,plus Rundys Seafood Laksa.
Slow stroll back through the markets.
....and find ourselves at the Kings. The Gentlemens Record club were playing.
Mark Yussof Wilson the 3rd.Yo Daddy mac and the Soul Man spinning Soul funk alongside eighties New Romantic. And the odd bit of Scar.
The music was great.
What sore knee.?
We had so much fun.Haven't heard such a great set of tunes for donkeys.
one more..
