The Lindy Charm school had  the ladies lining up for a transformation ,from Sunday arvo slob to 50's sex bomb housewife......or wait..maybe i was daydreaming...

Their were no 1965 beige HD holden(held together with black jack and bog..) but they were okay..

The man at the front was pulled out of the crowd to be apart of the show.I was so nervous for him..please don't have a heart attack mister..

Creepers or brothel creepers are a type of shoe.
They found their beginnings in the years following World War II, as soldiers based in the deserts in North Africa wore suede boots with hard-wearing crepe (rubber) soles because of the climate and environment. Having left the army, many of these ex-soldiers found their way to the nightspots of London wearing the same crepe-soled shoes and these became known as "brothel creepers".
In the late 1950s, these shoes were taken up by the Teddy Boys along with drainpipe trousers, draped jackets, bolo ties, quiff and pompadour haircuts, and velvet or electric blue clothes. This style of shoe was developed in 1949 by George Cox and marketed under the "Hamilton" name, based on George Cox Jr.'s middle name.[1]
The brothel creeper regained popularity in the early 1970s when Malcolm McLaren sold them from his "Let it Rock" shop in London's Kings Road. Teddy Boys were the obvious customers,[clarification needed] but the brothel creeper still proved to be popular among regular customers[2] when McLaren and his partner Vivienne Westwood changed the shop to more rocker-oriented fashion.
The shoe has since been adopted by subcultures such as indie, ska, punk, new wavers, psychobilly, greasers and goth, Japanese Visual Kei, and was noted[by whom?] as the footwear of choice of Bananarama

Hosiery.

Half a size to small(.bunions were created in the 50"s for this reason.)These boots were awesome.

so,I swear i wanted to take this bomber fur(as if they ever exist..ever!) home.
I stood admiring it,hood and all.
I was Kate moss,Paula Yates and  Vivienne west wood in single payment.
I had an amount i was prepared to pay.I mean LOOK AT IT.!!
....then the lady of the stall came over.
Fossil Vintage,based in Melbourne.
How much is the coat ,I asked.Hoping the $25 price tag below it may be inclusive.
'Do you know what it is made of?..she asked.
mmmm,its long hair,so I'm thinking,goat or similar..wasn't really sure .
Its Monkey.
What?
Yep,you heard me...Monkey.
I can't remember the type of monkey cause i went alittle vague after that.It had been clarified by a man who was an animal trainer at a previous fair..as he wept..
They import furs from the states and this one had slipped through. It was clearly very old,and had once been a coat.but was perhaps damaged and salvaged by shortening and adding a hood.
The price.
$2500......
Still now as I write this,I cannot fathom wearing a "monkey bomber" ever..as i stub out my cigar in the palm of my" Gorilla hand ashtray....
Reality check.
