the cold weather is starting to sneak in and we are starting to take notice.Being that, by 7am, we have usually been to the CAF(located in birtwill st coolum, how we miss you..) rolling with a flat white
and are on our third of fouth Gsale by then...not today.woke at 7 with madam curled up under the doona.. PLUNGER in our merlo travel cups, from the CAF.(.not the same) and arrive to find we have to wrestle the dealers. We missed the bargins..damn.
The normally not social lola has changed her tune. |
and an electric blanket.brand spanking.what a bargin.!and totally essential.yes a 1930's apartment looks great,but in a practical sense,its freezing!
and of course, johns vice, records.I do encourage this one though.
Not our best Gsale mish but Rome wasnt built in a day so therefor neither will be Westbourne Park.
Anyone who knows us well enough to have stayed or popped over on a weekend knows that after any market/gsale effort comes a cook up of poached eggs ,fresh spinach and in this case fresh shaved gorgonzola cheese and vine ripened tomatoes...a sportsmans breaky if I ever saw...
Because today I am wife of the year. Its my first ever game of Lacrosse.A team sport of Native America, played using a small rubber ball and a long handled stick, called a lacrosse stick.Pretty heavy contact sport, so pads and a helmet are also worn.Johnny has been playing this since he was 11.I wont say his age,but lets just say it been a good 30 years.give or take..:)
So the game is hard and fast as is just about over before I even know they have finished warming up!!
I did happened to be watching though when he turned our way, phew.smiled and waved..
number 75 was hot stuff. |
whats a day at a sports match if there isnt hot chips for lunch. |
thankyou Balfours.SA's legendary/Iconic pastry company. If Melbourne? has four and twenty then Adelaide has balfours.
That being said.I've done the Saturday WOL's.(wives of lacrosse).home to a cuppa and i think i'll switch on the leccy blanket and slip in with a good book.....damn.there's 3 of us..
