Glenelg.

Glenelg was named after Lord Glenelg,Secretary of State for the colonies at the time of Proclamation.(1836)
Its a cool seaside town, west of Adelaide city.I see it as being like Noosa of the Sunshine Coast.Sort of..
Jetty road is Hasting street.
The closest comparison i can think of.When the sun is out it is a great place to head to.
You can ride the tram from the city to Glenelg and back.
Wander the ocean edge around the harbour or walk Jetty road discovering loads of cool little shops,up and down side streets.
The town Hall.Built in 1875 from Bluestone.Great Building.

Tram lines into Glenelg.
Pioneer memorial.

Left of the jetty.

Right of.
And yes, there is not a surfable wave in sight....
The walk along the long jetty. In summer its full of young people hanging about jetty jumping.
super dooper day,but still freezing at the end of the jetty.
We wandered through the history museum.I won't bore you with all the details, but there once was a Luna Park in Glenelg in The 1930's.And also some of the old photos I enjoyed.
This one is of the Pavillion that used to be on the Jetty.

Back in the streets. How cute is this..
Unfortunately it was a sunday and this shop was closed.I will be back tho..
Long weekend,Anything goes.
