First stop of the Sunday drive.Food and wine festival in the McLarenVale.Maybe just one....
Relax James.Relax.
Couldn't help myself. It was sooo creamy.

Tintara winery. |
The only other people in the winery were from Brisbane.Live on the south side. Once upon a time from Noosa.Small world.
This Moreton Bay fig was over 150 years old.A climbing kids dream.
We drove up through McLarenVale.Being that the Sea and Vines Food and Wine Festival was on for the long weekend there was quite abit of action going on.
So much to see and do.As we were backing it up from the big four zero celebration the previous night,we drove on through and heading to Lady Bay for a picnic.
This spot is really pretty. It is along the coastal road heading to Cape Jervis.
There are 3 cabins along the beach. All three have been in these families for generations and eventually will have to be handed back to the South Australian Government.
The beaches here are so barren and beautiful.Full of succulents.
|
Cheese platters and anti pasto, from the central markets. |
Followed by homemade cauliflower soup and fresh rolls.
You can drive down onto the beach. The three cabins are all left from here.
Cabin 1.Johnny's friend from Lacrosse owns this one. Can't wait to spend a day down here.
Cabin 2.Imagine owning this and having sole access to this beach frontage.
Magic.

Johnny digging around the seaweed. |
Cabin 3 was alittle further down the beach. After exploring for some time we headed off to Second Valley.
Again,a beautiful little spot tucked away.In summer, you would swear you were somewhere in Europe.A little fishing Village full of privately owned holiday houses and cabins.
The caravan park has camping sites, caravans and cabins to hire.
A great place to come and totally chill out.Fish, hike, explore and enjoy a glass of port by a beautiful roaring fire.
Adelaide has Jetty's at every beach. In summer its fun to do the rounds and go jetty jumping.
Not me..those days are long gone.
The photos really don't do justice. Its really special.
Just around this corner is another bay.skimmers dream.the beach is made of flat rocks.follow the path to the headland you can see and you can climb up and around to a magic spot for swimming.I did this last summer. It was a little hairy at times, but well worth it.
Further right along the next, beach there once was little boat shacks.Almost like old fashion beach changing sheds. They have pulled them down now but left the old winch used to pull up the boats.
sorry,its a bit blurry. :)
Look how blue the water is.
I'm not geologist,so perhaps Daniel Munday might be able to enlighten us on the colours in the rocks.
Swiss rocks.
End of a beautiful day exploring.
Full of warm fuzzy feelings of family, forty and love.
Its a wrap.x
