go forth and holiday...take yourself seven equal days....and indulge in every way possible....restore refill......absorb all that your surroundings have to offer....find yourself in a location and call this home....make those around you aware of the co- ordinates to your hide out....and see what this brings....have no expectations and suffer no disappointments....
red eye at the time of booking always seems an appropriate
way to save alittle extra for the holiday....until the four am alarm beeps and you would pay double for a later flight.
hello sister i have missed your face
seven nights eight days at the Beach walk beach shack glamping.no car no plans.a girl needs to be prepared for drop ins, spontaneous barbeque's etc etc...and yes more beer was added to the trolley for the gentlemen folk.

Sophie from Paris and so many more..to those who know.. you are the most wonderful friends and family anyone could ask for..seeing you all was enough to keep us going till next time.we miss you so much..don't let all the babies grow up to quickly.xx
and thank you to the lovely Layla for teaching us all Finger knitting .no beach holiday is complete with out hand made memories...or a homemade Australia day apple pie from our old neighbour..Renee...or
rain..it had been mentioned but we thought we had enough mully grubs to get us through...the first 4 days anyway.then down it came and didn't stop.
Sleep ins,good books
and a day of DVDs with Ma baker and it was time to go.mad dash to Brisbane to save the yacht and be at the airport by six pm to fly.all of us alittle antsy to say the least. The coast was coping some serious rain and flooding and after the previous year of flooding in Brisbane we didn't know what to expect.
the view of the Brisbane river from casa Del kell
whats a Queensland storm without beach towels on the old Hills..
and then to the airport. To cut a long line, long wait and long story short...flight was cancelled so its back into the cab(expensive)to casa Del kell(totally grateful)and another night in Brisbane.
then i started thinking that every cloud has a silver lining and perhaps this was, that I was supposed to go shoe shopping at Zomp in James street the following day as we were to fly out at seven pm again, making it a whole day to kill in the city(flood pending) which totally made sense.right?
......
wrong.Due to the crazy weather James street was pretty much closed for the day so window shopping it was.Followed by a beautiful breakfast in the Market.
Our venture back through the city revealed just how bad the weather had been.due to very little rain in since April 2012(when we left QLD)the grounds were so dry there was tree fall everywhere.
pretty sad really.to think about the people and suffering throughout Queensland, again made us realise we had nothing to complain about...except my silver lining...
........
and there it was.!..after another taxi ride(expensive)back to
the airport(chokers)and lining up(ages!) we meet with a lovely fellow at check in who tells me we aren't booked on the flight...blah blah blah..and yes, what about business class..thank you kind fellow and thank your mother for the rabbits.I'll take it and the pre flight mock tail, extra leg room, laptop computer TV thing, dinner box,gin and tonics(keep them coming)and the great service. Not to mention first on and first off....
please note-leg room.still in the old converse instead of new Zomp silver lining shoes..but that's okay because i have the leg room.
pre flight mocktail- why not i say.
and then they flew.
home.
